A rich man’s Toyota C-HR?

Based on the UX Concept introduced in Paris some 18 months ago, the all-new Lexus UX is about to join the growing luxury subcompact SUV/CUV market. The world premiere will take place at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show on March 6.

As you’ve correctly guessed, it’s smaller than the brand’s current entry-level SUV, the NX. Also, just like a number of direct competitors, it makes a bolder fashion statement than the rest of the lineup. The headlights, front air intakes and fenders are more prominent and racier-looking, while the high beltline adds even more character.

Engineers used an all-new platform that reportedly gives the UX exceptional body rigidity and a low centre of gravity for the agile handling of a hatchback.

From the short teaser posted below, it appears the new Lexus UX features a unique and driver-oriented cockpit with a commanding view of the road, not to mention a host of cool and sophisticated technologies. The name evokes “user experience”, after all!
