After teasing the media and fans for weeks, Fiat Chrysler finally unveiled the all-new 2016 Fiat 500X at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Two engines are available including a 160-horsepower, 1.4L MultiAir Turbo mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 180-horsepower, 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir2 available exclusively with a 9-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional.

What's more, the 2016 Fiat 500X offers up to 70 standard and available safety and security features including Forward Collision Warning-Plus, LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection. Electronic stability control (ESC) with Hill-start Assist and electronic roll mitigation is standard on all models, as are seven air bags.

Customers will have a choice of five trim levels: Pop, Easy, Lounge, and for a more rugged look, Trekking and Trekking Plus. Let's not forget the 12 exterior colours and more than 100 Mopar accessories to customize the vehicle.

The 2016 Fiat 500X will arrive at North American dealerships in the first or second quarter of 2015 at a yet-to-be-announced price. It will also go on sale in over 100 markets across the globe.
