Tough week for Chrysler: After recalling 184,000 SUVs to fix an airbag problem, the automaker is now announcing a recall on 907,000 vehicles.
First, the alternator in 470,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger units from 2011-2014 may fail at any time. One such incident has been reported so far. Chrysler dealers will start replacing defective alternators next month.
Meanwhile, 437,000 Jeep Wrangler SUVs from the same model years may suffer from a short circuit in the heated mirrors due to water infiltration.
