The Lancer will get a 5-door offspring this year, as Mitsubishi has just unveiled the Sportback version of its popular compact sedan.
The Sportback will be available in two trims: the GTS will get a 2.4-litre engine that develops 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque, and will be mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic.
The Lancer Sportback Ralliart gets a turbocharged, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder that produces 237 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque. The only transmission choice is the dual-clutch 6-speed automated manual that's already offered in the Ralliart and Evolution MR sedans.
