Chevrolet will introduce the Orlando Concept in Paris along with the new Cruze sedan from which it stems. This new multi-purpose ride combines the features of an SUV, a minivan and a wagon while accommodating seven passengers and boasting unusual cargo space.

It sports unmistakable brand features like the imposing grille that now abounds on the Chevy stage since the Malibu was launched. The roof line undulates between the hood and the rear window, accentuating the impression of height. The fenders have been tooled, with pronounced curves and integrated light clusters.

Visual cues like the glowing blue trim popping up everywhere are designed to attract attention to certain styling details. However, it's unlikely that they will make it into the production model. Judging by the sophistication of the interior finish, we probably won't see many changes between this version and the final one.

Mechanically, Chevrolet has opted for a small, 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel mill producing 150 hp. Despite the interest such a vehicle could generate in Canada, currently Chevrolet is categorically refusing to integrate the Orlando into its North American lineup.
