There's sure to be a buzz at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) around the Porsche stand as the automaker presents their latest model to the public. On display will be the stunning new 911 GT3.

Shoppers interested in a more potent taste of Porsche's legendary performance on their daily commutes will be able to check out the latest car to wear the Porsche GT3 badge. The naturally-aspirated high-performance 911 variant boasts incredible levels of speed and handling, thanks to extensive use of motorsport-derived technology.

The latest GT3 engine is a 3.8 liter flat six that cranks out 435 horsepower alongside significantly enhanced mid-range torque, thanks to some engineering tweaks. Pushed, 100 km/h should arrive in just over 4 seconds.

An active suspension system, self-adjusting engine mounts and advanced stability management help drivers to safely explore the cars limits.

The 911 GT3 will be on display at the Porsche stand at the 2009 NYIAS before going on sale this fall. Pricing for the GT3 commands a $138,000 sticker.
