The Porsche Cayenne is one of the most highly developed off-road vehicles on the planet- with legendary capability, stirring performance, and the dynamic excellence which Porsche is known for.

For 2009, customers looking for an even sportier and more street-smart Cayenne will have another option, as Porsche has created a lower and more powerful GTS designated model. The dropped body carries a set of wheel-well extensions to help facilitate massive 21-inch wheels with 295/35 series tires. Revised sport seats can be found inside, and two new paint colors (Nordic Gold and GTS Red) can be found outside.

On sale in 2008 as a 2009 model, the Cayenne GTS rides on a specially designed chassis while driving all four wheels through a permanent all wheel drive system as opposed to the transfer-case based 4x4 system on other models. There's a "sizeable" increase in power from the Cayenne GTS's V8 engine too. Hot blooded driving enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that the Cayenne GTS will be available with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will be fitted as standard on the Cayenne GTS, which will carry a US starting price of $69,300.
