Fuji Heavy Industries, builder of Subaru automobiles, has recently announced details of their exhibit at the upcoming International Auto Show in Frankfurt. The show opens on Sept 15th 2007, with press days for the auto show scheduled the 11th and 12th.

Masatsugu Nagato, FHI's Director, Executive V.P. of European markets, and Petter Solberg, a Subaru World Rally Team (SWRT) driver, will be present to speak with the media about Subaru's racing heritage and other developments.

Impreza WRC Concept

Three new models will be showcased which are soon to be on sale in Europe. These are the Tribeca, Justy and Impreza--the latter powered by either a 1.5-litre or a 2.0-litre engine in that market.

As well, a new Subaru World Rally Cross (WRC) concept will be on display. Subaru says the Impreza-based concept car conjures up images of future styling trends for a rally car.

The new boxer diesel powerplant will also be on display. Subaru is excited about the new engine, as the boxer configuration is especially fitting for a diesel engine in a number of ways. One of the most significant is that as the pistons counteract each other, vibrations common to diesel engines are cancelled out. The world's first boxer diesel engine will go on sale in 2008 in Europe.
