The 2011 edition of the big Canadian car show promises to be quite the event once again. With no less than 35 regional and Canadian premieres.

The national event will kick off with the AJAC announcing the recipients of the Canadian car and Truck of the year.

Most anticipated are some of the stars from this past January's North American auto show. Namely, the Hyundai Veloster which could arguably be the recipient of an Oscar if there was such an Award. Other awaited premieres include Ford Vertrek Concept, the hot-tamale BMW 1-Series M Coupe and the New Volkswagen Passat.

Others to look out for will be the cool Mini Paceman Concept, the 5-door version of the “green” Land Rover, the Evoque as well as the latest entry-level Buick, the Verano.

An honourable mention goes to Nissan-Infiniti for pulling out all the stops. Of the seven proposed unveils, three of them will be seen for the first time on Canadian soil. The dangerously seductive Ellure Concept is the one we are really looking forward to. Also on hand will be the new Quest and the M35h, Infiniti's first hybrid.

As always, we'll be on the show-floor, covering the beat and bringing to you the latest news and pictures.
