French car manufacturer Renault has officially named Eric Boullier as Team Principal of Renault F1 Team. Boullier, a former race car engineer, has a 10-year experience in motorsport. He earned a degree in engineering from the “Institut polytechnique des sciences avancées” before he joined team DAMS as a track engineer for the Cadillac effort at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2003, Boullier was named Team Principal of DAMS. The French team was then competing in the GP2 Series. From 2007 to 2009, Boullier was the Team Principal of A1 Team France, the team that won the title of the A1 Grand Prix series in 2007 and 2008. This year, Boullier was named CEO of Gravity Sport Management, the management business of Genii, the company that recently became a major investor of the Renault F1 Team. Photos: Renault
