According to reports, the IndyCar Series is supposedly in discussions with Watkins Glen track officials for a possible return alongside the NASCAR Truck Series for the 2012 season.
With only 15 tracks on the schedule so far, Michael Printup, President of the Watkins Glen circuit and IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard have already spoken about the potential for the series to run at the New York circuit again. IndyCar raced at Watkins Glen between 2005 and 2010, but pulled out this year due to dwindling crowds. NASCAR Trucks last visited the track in 2000.
