NASCAR: BC's Sarah Cornett-Ching to make K&N Series debut
From press release
Twenty-three-year-old Sarah Cornett-Ching will make her NASCAR K&N Series debut this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Summerland, BC resident will drive the No. 18 DRIVE Technology Toyota Camry in a joint venture between Tony Blanchard with RACE 101 and DRIVE Technology owners Sam Hunt and Shayne Lockhart. "Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway on the same weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is a big opportunity," said Cornett-Ching. "Our goal in racing is to earn our way to the top, and what better way to test the waters than to race a competitive car at a high profile event." Cornett-Ching's debut with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is her second experience with a NASCAR touring series. In 2011 she piloted a Jason White-owned Chevrolet in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event at her home track of Motoplex Speedway in Vernon, British Columbia. |
