Bernard Dudot has joined the GP2 series as Head of Engineering. We are proud
to announce that Bernard Dudot has officially joined the GP2 series as Head of
Engineering. His role will involve the engineering co-ordination between the GP2
technical partners. He will oversee all the technical decisions made from this
point forward, and ensure that the GP2 series maintains its technical excellence
as the perfect platform to Formula One. Didier Perrin remains the GP2 series
Technical Director, under Bernard's direction.
Bernard Dudot, GP2 series Head of Engineering: "I am very happy to become an
official part of the GP2 series. This is a fantastic project in which I have
been taking a keen interest from the outside. Even though I retired from the
Renault F1 Team on April 1st, when the GP2 series approached me for this
position I could only say 'yes.' For the last six months, as well as working at
the Renault F1 Team, I was also overlooking the GP2 series project for Renault,
so I already feel well at home in the GP2 family. I am confident that the GP2
series will become the natural stepping stone to F1."
Bruno Michel, GP2 series Organiser: "Seeing Bernard Dudot join the GP2 series is
great news, and I'm very happy that we managed to convince him to come out of
his brief retirement to join us. He brings with him experience and knowledge of
the very highest levels of international motorsport and will further add to the
credibility of the GP2 series. We're delighted to have him on board, and I am
sure that, together with Didier, they will make a fine technical team."
