Alex Tagliani will start from pole position this coming Sunday for the presentation of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series NAPA Autopro 100 that will be held on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
Conditions were less than ideal on the circuit for qualifications but times did improve between the first and second round of qualifications since the fastest driver on the first session, JR Fitzpatrick will only be able to start from fifth. Tagliani, who will also be driving in the Nationwide event tomorrow, was already running faster than Fitzpatrick right at the start of the second period of qualifications as well as were series leader Andrew Ranger, Kerry Micks and Scott Steckly. Nice showing also for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, sponsored by Auto123.com and former NHL defenceman Patrice Brisebois who both managed to end their qualification in 11th and 15th place.
