Ça ressemble pas mal au Liberty. sérieux concurrent pour les Tucson/Sportage.

The Patriot is the classically shaped SUV version of the new Chrysler Group entry-level machine. Planned around a 2.4-liter four-cylinder (a version of the world engine to be shared with Hyundai and Mitsubishi) or a 2.0-liter diesel four for world markets, the CVT-outfitted Patriot concept also sports all-wheel drive sturdy enough to earn Jeep's Trail Rated designation. The concept, painted Armour Green, is packaged around maximum interior space, according to a release. The conventional SUV shape wears classic Jeep details like black door handles, 17-inch wheels, squared-off wheel openings and a raised roof rack and an upright rear windshield. Riding on a wheelbase of 103.7 inches, the Patriot sits 173.7 inches long, 69.1 inches wide and 65.6 inches tall.

À 20K disons que ça risque d'être un succès pour un AWD. Il ne reste plus grand joueur dans ce marché. Suzuki a pris des gallons avec le nouveau Grand Vitara. Je vois juste Hyundai/Kia comme compétiteur. Rav4 et Cr-v sont plus gros que le Patriot.

Donc, une plateforme automobile/hybride.

Ce qui en ferait un véhicule beaucoup plus léger, économique (relativement) et efficient que le Liberty. Et probablement avec un meilleur comportement routier.

En fait, c'est le Liberty qui risque le plus la cannibalisation quand le Patriot va faire son entrée sur le marché.

Pour les madames et les ceusses qui veulent juste un soi-disant look SUV et l'utopique sécurité d'un AWD, par rapport à un off-roader pur et dûr qu'ils n'utiliseront jamais (Liberty), ce Patriot sera un achat beaucoup plus sensé. Le look Jeep et les gros tires vont faire la job. :roll:

Je peux pas confirmer mais je pense que non et j'espère que non. Ça serait le fun d'avoir un petit SUV toff comme les anciens Samourai/Sidekick.

Mais je dirais pour le Jeep Compass que c'est la même plate-forme que le Caliber on le voit à l'oeil.

In keeping with Jeep’s new strategy of two vehicles per platform (a la Grand Cherokee and Commander), here come the little guys. Based off the new Neon platform with quite a bit of chassis reinforcement, the Jeep Patriot is the more classically Jeep of the two concepts. Enlarged wheel arches, tall and flat body panels, an upright stance, and a seven-slotted grille are all Jeep design cues deliberately intended to perpetuate Jeep’s robust, strong, and capable 4x4 off-road image. With that said, the Patriot is reported to offer a new 4x4 system that most likely includes a low range gear, and surely will include some type of added traction control device that acts much like a limited-slip, with the intent of making the Patriot the most capable vehicle among its competitors (CR-V, RAV4, Sportage, and Escape). For U.S. markets, expect the engine to be the new 2.4-liter I-4 “World Engine,” mated to the new continuously variable transmission. A new 2.0-liter turbocharged, direct-injection diesel will be offered (only for international markets so far) as well. Look for pricing to be aggressive, hovering just above and just below the $16,000 mark. Production versions could make it to dealerships as early as mid-2007, as a 2008 model.

je trouve qu'il est beau (je trouve que sa aurait été une belle évolution du cherokee à l'époque au lieu de sortir le liberty)

il semble avoir plus de garde au sol qu'un liberty

Pour les dimensions, elles sont presque pareil à l'ancien cherokee.

Avec cette grosseur, sa veut dire que le prochain liberty va être plus gros.

Y'a une chose que je ne comprend pas, la suspension avant du patriot, on voie pas les bras ds suspension. Sa pourrais-tu arriver que la suspension ne soit pas indépendante à l'avant ?
