La Civic et le F-150 toujours premiers
Richmond Hill, Ontario - In August, entry level vehicle sales were up 17.0 per cent, while large and luxury vehicles climbed 8.4 per cent, reports industry analyst Dennis DesRosiers. Perennial best-sellers Honda Civic and Ford F-Series topped the charts for August, as well as year-to-date sales figures.
For August, the top ten best selling passenger cars, with their percentage above or below August 2004 sales, were
Honda Civic (+11.9),
Toyota Corolla (+27.2),
Mazda3 (+27.1),
Toyota Echo (+29.4),
Chevrolet Cobalt (new for 2005),
Honda Accord (-4.4),
Ford Focus (+19.3),
Nissan Altima (+47.3),
Dodge SX 2.0 (+31.3),
and Toyota Matrix (+4.6).
In year-to-date sales, the top ten passenger cars were Honda Civic, Mazda3, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Echo, Ford Focus, Honda Accord, Pontiac Sunfire, Toyota Matrix, Chevrolet Cobalt and Toyota Camry.
The top ten best selling light trucks for August 2005 and with their sales percentage over or below August 2004 were the
Ford F-Series (-5.4),
Dodge Caravan (+27.1),
GMC Sierra (+4.9),
Chevrolet Silverado (+11.5),
Dodge Ram (+28.9),
Chevrolet Uplander (new for 2005),
Pontiac Montana SV6 (new for 2005),
Ford Escape and Escape Hybrid (+10.0),
Honda CR-V (+6.2)
and Hyundai Tucson (new for 2005).
