My February issue of Automobile finally arrived today.
I was taken by surprise by the speculation at the bottom of page 19 that after the VW minivan and CG Polo, the next collaboration would be between VW, Audi and DCX to jointly develop a new platform to serve as the next Golf, Audi equivalent, M-B A & B class, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Dodge "Stratus", Chrysler Sebring and VW Passat/Eos.
I double checked the cover date to make sure it is not the April issue.

En regardant ça et savant que VW a des problèmes financiers. Serait-il possible un jour de voir VW se faire acheter par Daimler-Chrysler :?: Ou encore fusionner :?:

Porsche n'appartient pas à VW mais ils sont partenaires de longue date. Si je ne me trompe, VW-VAG est pas mal plus gros que Chrysler. Ils sont fortement implantés en Chine et en Amérique du Sud. Les idées de grandeur de son ancien président Ferdinand Piersche (VW Pheaton, Bugatti, Bentley) l'ont mise dans le trou.

Fusionner qui sait? :wink: on pourrait appeller le nouveau groupe "Auto-Union" (un ancien nom d'Audi) une ironie est que VW avait acheté les usines de Chrysler en Argentine et au Brésil.
Et Alain le nom de l'ancien PDG de VW est Piech et non Piersche :wink:
C'est plutôt Porche qui a acheté plusieurs actions de VW récessement si je me trompe pas. Tout ça afin de protéger qu'un autre constructeur soit tenter d'acheter quelques actions de VW pendant qu'ils sont malmenés.
ouais Porsche possède 18% de Volkswagen AG
Comme vous avez dit, ils ont aussi:

* Bugatti
* Lamborghini

* Škoda
* Volkswagen
Ceci étant dit, y parait que les coûts de production de chaque Bugatti Veyron sont de 5 millions (pour un prix de vente de 1 000 000Euro) :shock:
Par contre ils vendent bien en Europe et... en Chine. Sont encore le 3-4e plus gros manufacturier au monde (donc je dirais plus gros que DaimlerChrysler). J'ai quand même confiance pour le futur parce que c'est un comapgnie qui innove...

j'sais pas si ce tableau est à jour par contre, parce que Toyota doit vendre beaucoup plus maintenant (ils vont dépasser GM bientôt).

En effet, je ne pense pas que ton tableau est à jour, Toyota est 2e au niveau de la production.
Et je savais pas que Hyundai était si près de Honda.

DaimlerChrysler’s Chrysler Group and Volkswagen today announced that they have reached a formal agreement under which the Auburn Hills, Mich.-based carmaker will manufacture a unique line of VW minivans for the North American market.
Production of the future Volkswagen minivan, which is based on the next generation Chrysler and Dodge minivan platform, will begin in 2008.
"This is an important and groundbreaking decision for the Volkswagen brand in the USA," said Wolfgang Bernhard, Chairman of the VW Brand Board of Management. "In the VW product range, we are missing a van for families which meets the necessary requirements of our American customers. with this new vehicle, we are going to enter another important market segment with our own product."
