Whitby, Ontario – BMW Canada has announced pricing for the new 2006 Z4 and M Roadsters, which go on sale in March, 2006. The 215 horsepower Z4 3.0i starts at $53,900, while the 255 hp 3.0si bases at $60,900. The M Roadster, which makes 330 hp, will base at $69,900.
The new, second-generation 3.0i and 3.0si Z4 Roadsters feature lightweight magnesium/aluminum six-cylinder engines that provide an increase of 40 and 41 horsepower respectively over their predecessors. Both feature six-speed transmissions.
The second-generation M Roadster uses a 3.2-litre M engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and is capable of zero to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds
