Atlanta, Georgia - Porsche has announced that Canadian pricing for the 2007 911 Turbo will be $170,700, with a destination charge of $1,085.
The sixth-generation of the 911 Turbo model features a twin-turbocharged, 3.6-litre boxer engine with Porsche's first gasoline-engine application of variable turbine geometry. The engine produces 480 hp at 6,000 rpm, which is 60 hp more than its predecessor, while peak torque rises from 415 lb-ft to 457 lb-ft and with a torque curve that spans an extended range from 1,950 and 5,000 rpm, compared to 2,700-4,600 rpm in the previous 911 Turbo.
The new 911 Turbo features a redesigned all-wheel-drive system, with electronically-controlled multi-disc clutch replacing the previous model's viscous clutch. The new model reaches zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a top track speed of 310 km/h.
