Even more bad news (motor)sports fans. According to a report by Finnish sports site MT3.fi, Subaru will follow in the footsteps of Suzuki (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/15/suzuki-suspends-wrc-program/) and pull out of the 2009 World Rally Championship (WRC) season. While Suzuki's declaration was a surprise, Subaru's exit from the world of rallying would be a serious blow to the sport as a whole and its fans in particular. A formal announcement will supposedly follow tomorrow, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that the Finns got this one wrong

Il ne va rester que Citroën, Ford et Skoda... Pas drôle. Peut-être que Subaru reviendra en 2010 avec les nouveaux WRC...

Pour les avoir vu rouler au Tour de Corse l'an passé, la voiture avait beaucoup de problèmes de fiabilité...

Ouin décidément, moi qui suivait la série, après la fin de la F1 à Montréal c'est une autre perte. D'après ce que j'ai lu il y a aussi un gros changement de prévu dans la mécanique des WRC pour 2010 et Subaru ne pouvait pas suivre (norme S2000). On passerait tous à des 4 cylindres en lignes ou de quoi de même avec transmission montée à côté du moteur...donc Subaru avec son Boxer et sa transmission derrière le moteur aurait dû complètement repenser son ingénierie.

Décision vraiment poche....une légendre qui part, Subaru et Rallye c'était indissociable selon moi.
