2002 New Beetle
- New sporty Turbo S model added to line up will have a higher output 1.8T engine with 180 hp, a 6-speed manual transmission and special interior and exterior sport trim features (available in early 2002)
- Turbo S will feature "turbo S" badge
- "turbo" badge will be on all models with 1.8T engine
- Special color concept for limited-edition New Beetle Snap Orange
- Special limited exterior color Riviera Blue
- Cruise control indicator light
- New colors (Platinum Grey, Marlin Blue will replace Batik Blue, Blue Lagoon will replace Techno Blue, Double Yellow will replace Yellow and Reflex Silver will replace Silver Arrow)
