DaimlerChrysler is done with Hyundai, sort of. On Monday the German company said it had sold its 10.5-percent stake in the Korean automaker, and as a result could net about $900 million for a share it purchased for $484 million just three years ago. Hyundai and DC have been moving apart sinceSouth Korea's economy improved and Hyundai's sales began to zoom in the U.S. Despite the cutting of those ties, the two companies, with Mitsubishi, will still be building a global four-cylinder engine together starting in 2005. The name of the new Hyundai shareholder hasn't been released.
