Transport Canada reports latest recalls on Hyundai, Mazda, GMC
Ottawa, Ontario - Transport Canada has released the following information on vehicle recalls:
2005 Hyundai Tucson
Vehicles involved: 5,647
On certain vehicles, while driving through a turn under conditions where Electronic Stability Program (ESP) may not be needed, a sensitive ESP may activate. Dealers will replace the ESP Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit.
2000-2004 Mazda MPV
Vehicles involved: 38,798
On certain vehicles, the liftgate stay dampers and stud bolts may rust and stick together, causing the stud bolts to break off. Dealers will replace the left and right dampers and stud bolts.
2005 GMC full-size pickup
2005 GMC Sierra Denali
Vehicles involved: 189
Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 210.2 pertaining to locations and instructions for properly attaching child restraints. An owner manual update will be mailed to owners.
