Nissan Canada
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 5 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) reports that its 2003 calendar year sales increased over 7.5% versus 2002 calendar year sales, making 2003 the company's best sales year ever.

Combined Nissan and Infiniti car and truck sales for 2003 totaled 69,534 vehicles versus 64,661 sold in 2002.

Both Nissan and Infiniti Divisions broke all previous yearly sales records in 2003.

Infiniti, Nissan's luxury division, reports an extraordinary 28.2% increase for 2003 versus 2002 calendar year sales. With 8,938 vehicles sold in 2003, Infiniti celebrates its best year ever. Calendar year sales for 2002 totaled 6,969.

Calendar year sales of Nissan vehicles in 2003 were up 5% from the previous year with 60,596 vehicles sold in 2003 versus 57,692 vehicles sold in 2002.

December sales for NCI totaled 5,078 vehicles sold.


BMW Group Canada
WHITBY, ON, Jan. 5 /CNW/ - BMW Group Canada today announced its 13th
consecutive year of increasing sales in Canada. BMW Group recorded combined (BMW and MINI brands) automobile sales of 17,868 units in 2003, representing a 7.5% increase over 2002 sales. During the month of December, 1,773 BMW and MINI vehicles were sold, an increase of 40.7% over December 2002 making last month the best December results in BMW Group Canada sales history.

BMW Brand: Sales of BMW brand vehicles up 4.4% in 2003.
MINI Brand: 2003 sales up 28.8% over 2002.


Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada
Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada sales total 3,969 vehicles at year-end, down 16 per cent compared with 2002. Jaguar reports a decrease in
year-end sales of 7 per cent compared with the same period last year, totaling 2,366 units sold. Land Rover's year-end sales fell 26 per cent compared with this period in 2002, with 1,603 vehicles sold.


Volkswagen Canada
AJAX, ON, Jan. 5 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada Inc. sold 38,847 units during 2003 down from the 2002 total of 42,975 a difference of 9.6%. The new Beetle increased sales in 2003 by 9.2%, selling 2,851 units.
December 2003 sales were 3,345 units, down from 3,678 units in December of last year or 9%.


Audi Canada
AJAX, ON, Jan. 5 /CNW/ - Audi Canada posted another record in its 33 year Canadian history, selling 7,861 units. Up 8.6% from 2002, this is Audi
Canada's second straight record year.

Sales of the Audi A4 topped 5,911 units in 2003, a difference of 697 units and 11.1% from the 2002 total of 5,214.

Sales of the A8 L dramatically increased this year. Overall, sales of the A8 L finished the year with 204 units, a 78.9% increase over the 2002 sales of 114.

Toyota Canada
Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported year-end total sales of 1,866,314 vehicles, up 6.3 percent over last year and the company's best sales performance in its 46-year history.

The Toyota Division recorded best-ever year-end total sales of 1,606,559 vehicles, up 5.6 percent, marking the 10th year-in-a-row the Toyota Division has topped one million units.

The Lexus Division enjoyed its best-ever sales year with 259,755 units sold, an increase of 11.0 percent.
