Toronto, Ontario - Industry analyst Dennis DesRosiers has released March sales figures for Canadian passenger cars and light trucks; a total of 102,654 vehicles for March, 2005 represents an 11.2 per cent increase over March, 2004, while year-to-date figures of 181,833 represent a 3.9 per cent increase over the same period last year.

"Honda still leads the list of passenger cars with the Civic, and the Dodge Caravan leads the list of light trucks," DesRosiers reports. "Caravan lost their top selling position last year but with the new Stow 'n Go, excellent availability and competitive pricing they are now solidly back in front of the other light trucks in the market. With the Caravan, it has been primarily consumers buying the vehicle rather than fleets, which makes their performance even more impressive."
