ACURA MDX: A WELL-BUILT LUXURY VEHICLE
The MDX designers discarded the numerous chrome moldings and managed to come up with some of Acura's typical cues like the pointed nose, trapezoidal grille and crisp-edged silhouette. Let's recall that the MDX is built at the Alliston, Ontario, plant. Its unique and appealing shape, enhanced by its wide stance and strong look, is quite likely to seduce many a buyers. The lower body sections are coated with an anti-chip stuff. That elegant body boasts of a remarkable assembling quality. The Acura engineers claim that its avant-garde structure ranks among the safest in terms of impact protection. The front end reminds us of the Acura CL and TL models. Instruments are separated in three pods and are easy to read while main controls could be easier to read. The centre stack, built in the dashboard, hosts a huge screen mounted above the stereo. The screen is used as a trip computer and will eventually house a navigation system.
