Subaru
Over the past decade, Subaru was certainly not among the most active participants in the field of electrification. But more recently, tightening governmental restrictions have left those more BEV-skeptical automakers like Subaru and Mazda with little choice but to get in gear.
Combining with Toyota in the creation of a first EV was the easiest way to produce an electric crossover for the brand without losing valuable years. The Solterra is now just about ready, in fact we’ll be driving the crossover for the first time next month. Better late then never…
Like the vast majority of Subaru products, the Solterra will be exclusively four-wheel drive.
