The 2027 Nissan Ariya is a refreshed and re-priced edition of the Japanese automaker’s embattled EV.
Recall that the all-electric SUV was axed in the U.S. last year but has soldiered on north of the 49th Parallel; now it returns with some tweaks for 2027.
Nissan Canada has shared pricing for the model as well as outlined changes it’s getting to help it compete in an increasingly hard-ought segment. Starting price for the base SV FWD model has been set at $48,998 CAD, which is $3,900 less than last year, and actually returns close to what it was for 2025 ($49,998).
2027 Nissan Ariya – Pricing and versions in Canada
- - 2027 Ariya SV FWD - $48,998 CAD (MSRP)
- - 2027 Ariya SV+ AWD - $52,998
- - 2027 Ariya Platinum AWD - $58,998
In each case, buyers will have to add $2,350 in freight and PDI. Note that the ARIYA SV FWD is eligible for incentives of up to $5,000 through the federal government's Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP).
2027 Nissan Ariya – What’s new?
For 2027, the Ariya arrives with a refreshed exterior design inspired, Nissan says, by its Timeless Japanese Futurism design philosophy. There are also newly designed wheel options, a new Plasma Green two-tone exterior finish, a unique new interior colour, enhanced ride comfort and the latest generation of NissanConnect with Google built-in.
Buyers will also benefit from a native NACS charging port for DC fast charging with access to many Tesla Supercharger stations in Canada and the U.S. The standard J1772 charge port remains as well.
Going on the MyNISSAN app also allows users to use a new Plug & Charge feature for more convenient use of public charging stations.
Design of the 2027 Nissan Ariya
Nissan says the redesigned front end emits a “cleaner and more seamless look.” The V motion design signature has been tweaked, the front panel is body-coloured and the vehicle rides on newly designed 19- or 20-inch wheels, beautified by aluminum and resin elements.
A new colour joins the exterior choices, Plasma Green.
Inside, storage space in the central console area has been increased slightly, and Nissan incorporated a new-generation 15W wireless charger. Also updated is the NissanConnect system.

Powertrain of the 2027 Nissan Ariya
No change here for the new year, so the Ariya continues to come as either a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive model. Two battery capacities are also in the catalog, namely 63 and 87 kWh.
Some versions of the 2027 Ariya get Vehicle to Load (V2L) functionality, which allows compatible external electrical devices to be powered directly from the vehicle via a dedicated connector.
Nissan promised enhanced ride comfort via updated tuning of the suspension, which should reduce vibrations and improve stability.
The 2027 Nissan Ariya is expected at brand dealerships across Canada starting this fall.
