Toyota is bringing several changes to the Sequoia for 2027. Its full-size SUV receives a revamped front fascia, a Trailhunter package and technological upgrades focused on towing. The TRD Pro version also benefits from new suspension components.

Starting MSRP for the 2027 Toyota Sequoia lineup is $91,250 CAD before fees, which gets you the SR5 TRD Off-Road trim. At the top end of the range, the Sequoia TRD Pro carries an MSRP of $109,851. Full pricing is blow.

2027 Toyota Sequoia – What’s new?

There’s the new Trailhunter package, of course. Beyond that, cosmetic tweaks include revisions to the grille and the lower portion of the front bumper, which incorporates rectangular fog lights. The grille treatment varies depending on the chosen trim.

Inside, Toyota makes the 14-inch touchscreen standard across the board and introduces its latest-generation multimedia system.

The primary addition to the range is the Trailhunter package. Built off the SR5 TRD Off-Road, it includes Old Man Emu dampers, an aluminium skid plate and two front recovery hooks. The version also features 18-inch bronze-finished wheels, two-colour Rigid fog lights and model-specific cloth upholstery.

The Trailhunter retains an 8-passenger layout. In Canada, it’s offered in five exterior colours paired with a black interior. Its suggested retail price stands at $95,552 CAD, before fees and taxes.

For its part, the TRD Pro adopts FOX QS3 adjustable dampers tuned specifically for the Sequoia. It also receives red front recovery hooks and a new hue named Honeycomb in the Canadian release.

Additional towing assistance
Toyota is enhancing the technologies offered to make towing easier. The vehicle has a system that uses rear radars and a camera to detect a trailer and measure its dimensions. This information is then integrated into the trailer management menu, which is now accessible via the multimedia system.

Blind-spot monitoring can adjust its detection zone based on trailer length. Lane-keeping assistance adapted for towing is also on the menu. For reversing manoeuvres, the upgraded system combines dynamic gridlines and semi-automated steering assistance with jackknife detection.

Multimedia and rear-seat monitoring
The new multimedia layout features a customizable home screen. An integrated drive recorder uses exterior cameras to capture 20-second clips. The digital key also evolves: it can be managed from a compatible device's digital wallet, provided an active trial or subscription to Remote Connect is present.

The Sequoia also receives the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite as standard. Another new addition is a ceiling-mounted radar that can detect movement in the second and third rows after the vehicle is turned off and the driver exits. The device can trigger warnings and, under certain connectivity conditions, send notifications.

All Sequoias retain the 437-hp hybrid powertrain producing 583 lb-ft of torque.

Arrival at Canadian dealerships is scheduled for autumn 2026. Pricing begins at $91,250 CAD before fees and taxes for the SR5 TRD Off-Road.
