Pirelli, Falken, Toyo, Yokohama and Nexen
If you’re a fan of Italian brand Pirelli, you’ll want to short-list the Scorpion Ice and Snow and the recently introduced All Terrain + .
American brand Falken offers fans of very aggressive tires the Wildpeak A/T3W which is also suitable for off-road excursions. Falken manufactures several tires in a former Goodyear plant in Buffalo, New York. The brand was created by OHTSU Rubber and Tires of Japan, which merged with Sumitomo Rubber Industries in 2003.
In the same vein, Japanese manufacturer Toyo brings back the Observe GS-i6 LS for smaller vehicles and the WLT-1 for larger pickups.
History repeats itself at Yokohama, which still offers us its trusty Geolandar GO 72 , in addition to the A/T GO15 , designated all-weather and therefore usable all year long.
Finally, South Korean tire maker Nexen brings back its Wingard WT-1 , which is intended for the more robust commercial vans.
