Once again this year, let's point out the countless number of tires (mostly from Asia) aimed at pickup trucks, and especially SUVs. I'm thinking, for example, of the Hankook Dynapro I*cept , the I*Pike RW11 , the RW10 Winter I*cept X studless tires created for icy roads, but also the Lauffen I FIT Ice , made by a sub-brand of South Korean manufacturer Hankook. Add to that the GT Radial Adventurer AT-AW (made in various parts of the world), Maxtrek , Rovelo and/or Ridgetrak AT , and Maxxis AP-2 All Season .
If you compare this guide to last year's, you'll notice several similarities. Tire manufacturers have been largely affected by the pandemic. Their research and development, as well as their production, has been slowed down. However, you can be assured that there is a lot of quality in the latest products, especially from the major manufacturers.
However, don't think that the recently announced shortage is just a hoax to sell more tires. All indications are that the situation is serious. Already, there has been a significant price increase in many Chinese tire brands. Therefore, make your choice as soon as possible before the product you are looking for is no longer available, especially if it is at a reasonable price! If you wait, you may have to buy equivalent, but high-end and therefore more expensive tires!
