8. Lane departure warning
Getting distracted at the wheel happens to the best of us, but when the vehicle starts to leave its lane things can get dangerous. Using cameras to detect lane markers on the road, the system sends an alert to the driver using several means (sound signal, warning light, vibration of the steering wheel, etc.). When equipped with a lane keep assist system, the vehicle can even take control of the steering to bring the vehicle back to the centre of its lane.
