9. Automatic emergency braking
Here’s another valuable technology with the potential to save lives. Sensors detect if a frontal collision is imminent and the system automatically applies the brakes to avoid it, or at least reduce the severity of the impact. These systems are increasingly common in recent models, and it’s expected that within five years they will be included as standard equipment in all new vehicles.
