Malcolm Sayer
Malcolm Sayer was an aeronautical engineer during the Second World War, and that experience played a major role in his career in automotive design at British automaker Jaguar. What stands out most in Sayer’s work is not the size of his oeuvre but the innovations he introduced in the field of aerodynamics. He wasn’t the first automotive designer to look into the quesiton, but he pushed boundaries and possibilities much farther than anyone else had.
One indelible mark he left on automotive history is the 60s-era Jaguar E-Type, a car many feel is the most beautifully designed ever.
