5— Mazda CX-5
Like its little brother the CX-3 , the CX-5 offers as a major sales pitch excellent driving pleasure, as delivered by its second generation that debuted last year; in short, it is dynamic like no other model in the compact SUV category can manage to be. What’s more, the CX-5 is very roomy and its mechanics are frugal on gas. The only caveat in its case is the lack of raw power available from the biggest engine in the catalogue for the model – though that’s a small complaint given all its other qualities.
Earlier this year the Mazda CX-5 was named Auto123.com's Compact SUV of the Year for 2018 .
