Ford Escape

Ford's traditional representative in the category, the Escape, is also one of the oldest vehicles in it. This year, since July to be precise, Ford Canada has added a plug-in hybrid variant to counter the electrified offerings being introduced by rivals like Mitsubishi, Toyota, Hyundai and Kia. However, the Escape PHEV version is only available in a two-wheel drive configuration, unlike those rivals, all of which are equipped with all-wheel drive.

Note that the Escape lineup is quite extensive with its hybrid variant and two gasoline engines.
