In order to showcase the potential of zero-emission cars, Mitsubishi decided to take part in the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with its small, fully electric i-MiEV -- arguably the furthest thing from a conventional race car.

Naturally, Mitsubishi made extensive modifications such as adding a roll cage, a specific front bumper, and all the necessary gear to compete in an event like this one.
