5 — Hyundai Palisade
If you need a ton of space, the Hyundai Palisade offers it in spades, just like its close cousin over at Kia, the Telluride. It’s brand-new to the market, from what we’ve learned from driving it, it’s another solid new product from the Korean automaker.
Don’t go looking for excitement from this SUV, but you’ll find it extremely effective at meeting your people-moving needs. You even get drive modes that modify some of the parameters of the powertrain, including a mode for driving on snow. A test drive is in order, we think…

“Hyundai has done good work and the new SUV delivers what you could hope for from a vehicle of this type. The chassis is quite stiff, in fact it’s 40.4% more rigid than that of the departing Santa Fe XL. The ride is exceptionally smooth, as is the steering. Overall, it makes for a very reassuring drive.”
