We can’t quite confirm the arrival of this spicy Corolla, but with all the hype surrounding the new GR Yaris in Europe - that subcompact version comes with all-wheel drive, a 257-hp turbocharged 3-cylinder engine and a manual transmission - hopes are high for North America. Not for the GR Yaris, which certainly won't be coming, but very possibly for a Corolla reworked by the Gazoo Racing division. Speculation is it is being seriously considered for our market.

It would be a worthy successor to the Toyota Corolla/Matrix XRS tandem.
