The luxury automaker out of Bavaria has been a pioneer in the utility vehicle segment with its X line. This time, the range is expanding upwards. Following the unveiling of the XM prototype in 2021, BMW intends to re-brand the production version derived from it the X8 for the 2023 model year.

The highly angular design of this sportier version of the X7 is quite unique, as is the electrified powertrain of the tall car.

By combining a V8 with a plug-in hybrid system, the powertrain's output should, in principle, be the highest of any of the brand's vehicles, at least if the 750 hp and 737 lb-ft of last year's concept are any indication.
