7 – Volkswagen ADAC
Like in many other countries, over the decades specialized roadside assistance services came to be established in Germany. The Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V. (ADAC Strassenwatch) club used Beetles to rescue stranded motorists. Founded in 1903, the club is the biggest of its kind in Europe, the old continent’s answer to AAA/CAA.
