The 2003 CART series, also know as "Bridgestone
Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford", currently has 19
events scheduled for the upcoming season. The series commences with the
inaugural race on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida (February 23), and
concludes with the 500-mile super-oval race at the California Speedway in
Fontana (November 2).
Three of the 19 scheduled races will be held on "home-turf" for
Canadian team drivers Pat Carpentier and Paul Tracy. The streets of Toronto
(July 13) and Vancouver (July 27) will host the first two Molson Indy events,
while the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, in Montreal (September 7), will be home to
the only permanent road race on Canadian soil.
