Will continue as primary sponsor; Fernandez's name is solid source: indycar.com 7-Eleven announced an extension of its sponsorship agreement with Andretti Green Racing, continuing as the primary sponsor of the No. 11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone driven by Tony Kanaan and associated sponsors on the cars of Dan Wheldon, Dario Franchitti and Bryan Herta. "7-Eleven is such an integral part of our program that we're thrilled to have them on board for what we hope will be another championship season in 2006," team co-owner Michael Andretti said. Fernandez's name is solid IndyCar Series team owner Adrian Fernandez, who won the 2004 Toyota Indy 400, was recognized in California Speedway's Walk of Fame. His footprints, signature and a bronze plaque with the race date and his likeness, were placed in cement. Elway enjoys the weekend at track Pro Football Hall of Famer John Elway served as the honorary starter. He owns a Toyota dealership in Ontario, Calif. "Obviously I'm an IRL fan," he said. "It's always fun to have an opportunity to come to the race and then be able to be the starter. We're back in Southern California with a dealer presence with a John Elway's Crown Toyota in Ontario. So to come back see the people there and watch the race, it's a good weekend."
