We all know the story. And for the first time in his Champ Car career, A.J. Allmendinger knows how sweet a Champ Car World Series race victory is. source: paddocktalk.com / By Brad Gerhart Last weekend in his first race with Forsythe Championship Racing Allmendinger was absolutely flawless onward to victory in Portland after he led 100 of the 105 laps. "I just wanted to prove a point to myself and, as I said, more than anything to Forsythe, to let them know they had the right guy," said Allmendinger. Now the series heads to Cleveland, a race in which FCR's Paul Tracy won a year ago. With his first series victory under his belt, Allmendinger sees no reason why he cannot repeat again this weekend. "Now all that does is make me want to win more races because now I know how it feels. I guess that's going to be our job at Cleveland this weekend," said Allmendinger. Throughout his racing career in the Barber Dodge Series, Atlantic's and Champ Car, Allmendinger has had success in Cleveland. In Champ Car, although he never won at the airport strip, he placed no worst than sixth.
