Toyota Atlantic travels to Denver
source: bessetteracing.com / .toyotaatlantic.com Antoine Bessette and Polestar Racing Group will travel to the Grand Prix of Denver this week, the fourth and last temporary street race on the 12-round calendar. Polestar earned more than its share of success on these urban facilities with a perfect score card so far. Bessette's teammate Katherine Legge won twice in Long Beach and San José while the Quebec driver took the checkered flag in Toronto. AB will try to make the Mile-High race his own in order to step up in the standings and have a shot for the title in the last two rounds. "I ran out of luck in San José, claims the 23 year old, but the morale is still very high. I can't change what happened in the previous rounds but I can definitively control what lies ahead. Denver is another one of those concrete-walled, short and twisty tracks where I like to perform. I intend to make Denver my own and regain a few places in the standings. From there, we'll see what the situation will be with Road America and Montreal left. As usual, I'm sure Bruce (Potter, engineer) will give me a strong car comes Friday morning." AB was running fourth in San José when a slower car was flagged to let the leading cars by: three of them went by easily but the fourth car ran out of tarmac when the slow car decided to take the next turn. AB was that fourth car and the lack of tarmac meant hitting the tire wall and retiring thereafter. Antoine Bessette is fifth in the season standings. He is the only Canadian to enter the 12-race series of the 2005 Toyota Atlantic championship. He will drive the #3 Unik Auto Design car from Polestar Racing Group.
