The 2.106-mile Burke Lakefront Airport street course is the sixth round of the 2007 series and will offer both Atlantic rookies the chance to improve their overall standings. With two difficult races in Portland, the Conquest Racing Atlantic team is looking forward to taking what they learned at the fourth and fifth round and look toward the Cleveland street course. To help the Conquest Racing Atlantic engineering team, successful Champ Car and A1GP engineer Chris Gorne has been brought on the team to oversee the engineering department for the Cleveland race weekend. Gorne has effectively led A1GP teams to two consecutive championships. He will be an important addition to the Atlantic team this weekend. "After the two races at Portland, I'm ready to get on track at Cleveland," said Lee. "The team and I have been working hard to prepare for this unique venue and I am ready to improve my championship standings in the series. I know there are some tough corners at this 2.106-mile street course and my goal is to complete a clean race with a solid standing." "The Cleveland course is definitely one of the highlights on the Champ Car Atlantic schedule," said Ricci. "I'm looking forward to getting more experience on the street course and the Burke Lakefront Airport will be a unique challenge. I'm ready to resume the chase in this year's Atlantic Championship and improve my eighth place position," said Ricci. "The entire Conquest Racing Atlantic team is excited to get onto the Burke Lakefront Airport track," said Steve Ragan, Conquest Racing Atlantic team manager. "We have taken what we learned at the two Portland races and are ready to improve our standings in Cleveland." Giacomo Ricci is currently fourth in the Rookie of the Year contest with a top finish of sixth place during the first five races of the 2007 season. Ricci is presently eighth in the overall points results while his teammate Matt Lee is currently ninth in the Rookie of the Year race and 16th overall. The Champ Car Grand Prix of Cleveland Presented by LaSalle Bank kicks off on Friday, June 22nd with qualifying. The green flag drops on the sixth round of the 2007 Champ Car Atlantic Championship on Sunday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. EST. The race will be broadcast on ESPN2 on Wednesday, July 4th beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST.
