30 drivers and one aim at Long Beach
source: norbert-siedler.comThe 2006 Yokohama presents the Champ Car Atlantic Series powered by Mazda featuring its strongest and most talented driver line-up ever kicks off with Sunday's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Norbert Siedler, 23, who will pilot the #10 BAR PALFINGER machine is entering his first season in the USA and looking forward to the challenging track at the Pacific coast with a good combination of fast and slow corners: "I'm really excited about the start of this season and my debut in the Champ Car Atlantic Series. My new team, Brooks Associates Racing has done a lot of work over the winter and despite the little problems we had at Fontana, we should be well prepared. For sure a podium finish in Long Beach would be very satisfying for me."
With 10 pole positions, 4 wins and finally the Formula 3000 championship title under his belt Norbert is now rated as one of the title contenders in the Champ Car Atlantic Series, but the young Austrian knows, "...that we need to be consistent, always there at the finish and on the podium as often as possible. A championship is very long and this year the Atlantic is extremely competitive as well."
