Bourdais, who had already confirmed his participation alongside Paul
Newman, Cristiano Da Matta and Michael Brockman in this weekend's Daytona
enduro, was announced today as set to join countryman Christophe Bouchut and
Italian Fabrizio Gollin in a Ferrari 550 Maranello at Sebring's GT1 class
The entry will be fielded by two of France's leading sports-car teams, the Care
and Larbre squads - FIA GT and Le Mans Endurance Series regulars respectively,
although Care has contested (and won) several ALMS races.
"Sébastien's home town is Le Mans, so he has sports-car blood in his veins, and
luckily for us he has also a great deal of experience at Sebring from his Champ
Car testing. I think he will have no trouble adapting to the car in a very short
time and we will have a really magnificent driving team," stated Larbre boss
Jack Leconte.
The 12 Hours of Sebring will kick off the 2005 American Le Mans Series season on
March 16-19.
