Triple consecutive Champ Car title winner Sebastien Bourdais has put an end to speculation that he could be about to switch to a formula one car. source: paddocktalk.com - rumors The Frenchman is understood to have received more offers for test seats in 2007, but he told a news conference that none of them guarantee him a racing role in the future. "I can't give up what I've got (in America) and throw everything away," the 27-year-old insisted. The boss of a rival Champ Car team, however, weighed into the story by explaining that Bourdais is not good enough for the pinnacle of motor sport. After Team Australia driver Will Power collided with Bourdais at the recent Surfer's Paradise event, owner Craig Gore said: "Bourdais has been lucky to win a couple of championships when there has not been any (quality) drivers in the series. "He's not in F1 because he is not good enough." The PaddockTalk Perspective: Gore was definately angry when he said what he said.... Though he hasn't taken it back.... it doesn't make him right. We continue to believe that in equal cars Bourdais can compete with the top drivers in the world.... that includes Formula One drivers.
