Dixon and Pantano for Watkins Glen source: irl.racing-live.com Ryan Briscoe remains hospitalised at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he is recovering from injuries suffered in the Chicagoland accident last Sunday. The 23-year-old Australian suffered a concussion, two broken collarbones, a bruised lung and contusions to his legs and arms in the crash. He also has a small fracture in his right foot and several contusions on his back. He remains in the critical care unit where he is being treated for breathing difficulties stemming from the inhalation of vapours during the incident. Doctors expect Briscoe's injuries to heal without requiring further treatment or surgery. Briscoe is expected to be transferred to a private room this weekend and released from the hospital early next week. Target Chip Ganassi Racing announced it will not field a substitute driver for Briscoe in the final two races of the 2005 season. 2003 IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon will remain as driver of the No. 9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Toyota-powered Panoz, while road racer Giorgio Pantano and Jaques Lazier will share the driving duties for the No. 10 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Toyota-powered Panoz. Pantano will drive the car at Watkins Glen. Lazier will drive the car at California Speedway.
